1. Write a summary of what has happened in your story so far. (Remember a summary has a beginning, middle and end.)

Jess is a fifth grade boy who has three mean sisters and one who worships him. The oldest ones are mean to him because he doesn't let them dress him up and walk around in a baby stroller. His youngest sister jumps on him and is really annoying, then when he tells her to get off of him she cries. Jess likes to draw and run. He has a secret crush on the music teacher. Nobody else likes her though because she is kind of a hippy. He only gets to see her on Fridays because that is the only day they have music. Jess hopes to be the fastest runner in the class because then he would be a cool kid. One day Leslie a fifth grade girl joins his school. She gets board playing with the girls so she races with the guys. She beats all of them and Jess gets mad because he wouldn't be the coolest kid anymore. Leslie wants to be friends with Jess but he doesn't want to be her friend because she beat him. After that there were no more races. Leslie lives just up the street from Jess and with time they become best friends. They make up a land called Terribithia. Leslie is the king and Jess is the king. They're imaginations take them so far. One day Jess' music teaacher invites him on a Saturday field trip to go to Washington. How could he say no? His secret crush invited him some where. It's not everyday that, that happens. Jess has a magical day and when he got back he found out that Leslie died and his parents thought that he was dead too. Leslie was swinging acoss the rope into Terribithia, it snapped, hit her in the head, and she drowned. Jess doesn't want to face the truth. He doesn't believe it at first but then they go to Leslie's house and she really was dead.

2. How do you feel about your book? Remember to include details from your story to support your opinion.
I didn't like this book because it was too sad and dreadful! This book didn't really hook me in either I kept on getting destracted. When Leslie died I could hardly bare it. I wish that she didn't die and they were all happy. This book didn't make a lot of sense because at the end they just leave you hanging and don't get you happy, because ussually if there is as sad part in the boodk they make you happy again.

3. Make a prediction what you think will happen next in your story. Remember to support your answer with examples from the text. (Bud Not Buddy, Witch of Blackbird Pond, Westing Game).

4. How did your story end? Did you like your ending? Tell why or why not. If you didn't like it, how would you change it? (Mixed Up Files and Bridge to Terabithia).
I hated my ending! The reason I hated it was because Leslie dies! She was to young to die and this book made me so sad. I didn't like it one bit! If I could change it I would make it so Leslie didn't die and everybody was happy. If she didn't die I think a lot of people would of been happier. The only part I liked was when he made May Belle queen. Well that actually didn't happen, but you could tell that she was going to be the new queen.
